Apprentice Acro Teacher
Ali Magnacca has been a competitive dancer since the age of 7. She has trained and competed with many styles of dance including, hip hop, acrobatics, lyrical, contemporary and jazz. Although Ali competed in many styles, acrobatics was the first style she learned and has been her favorite ever since. It has become a true passion as Acro forces her to challenge and prove to herself what her body & will of mind are capable of. Throughout her dancing career she has attended numerous dance competitions in Ontario, receiving scholarships, overall and special awards.
Since the age of 12, Ali has assisted with many acro classes and is now apprenticing as an Acro Instructor under her mentor and BSD studio owner, Miss Alex. Miss Ali & Miss Alex are collaboratively developing a fun, safe, and progressive acro program at the Barrie School of Dance. Miss Ali’s goal is to help foster passion, instill confidence and create drive in dancers to push themselves to the high technical skill level required of Acrobatic dancers.
Miss Ali is a recent graduate from Georgian College, majoring in Interior Decorating. Miss Ali has a passion for creativity and design. Dance has been a big influence on her decision to explore design as a career because artistry requires creativity, dedication and passion; which are qualities she has gained training for dance. Miss Ali is very grateful for the opportunities given to her throughout her dance career and is excited to be able to share her knowledge of dance with her students at The Barrie School of Dance.
